Skinny Greek Layer Dip

Skinny greek layer dip and pita chips

Sharing is caring!

I first learned of this dip at a get together with friends. My girlfriend Amy brought this Skinny Greek Layer Dip with her, and oh my gosh, it is SO good.

I probably ate half of the dip that night! And when she told me what was in it, I was floored.

How could a dip that is so easy be so delicious?!

Since that first taste about 18 months ago, I’ve made this dip at least 15 times!

Let me tell you, every single time I make this dip someone asks me for the recipe.

I most recently brought this dip to a small Fourth of July get together with family. I took some casual photos for my Instagram stories (check out my patriotic nails, ha!) so that anyone looking for a last minute dish to pass had something easy to whip together.

Several people asked me, “is this recipe on your blog yet? I need it!” So, here we are! The recipe is now on the blog, folks.

skinny greek layer dip is a healthy dip that is easy to make!

What’s in this easy Greek layer dip

This recipe has few ingredients, and many of which are store bought. It could not be more convenient!

In total, it takes me less than 15 minutes to make this dip. That is including the chopping and assembly!

This dip requires:

  1. Hummus
I use a store bought roasted garlic hummus for this recipe. You can use a homemade hummus, or any flavor of store bought hummus you like!
  2. Tzatziki
This is a yogurt and cucumber dip that is absolutely scrumptious! You can make a homemade version like this one, or you can substitute for plain Greek yogurt if that’s all you have!

  3. Toppings
I like to use cherry tomatoes, red onion, cucumber, and feta cheese. Olives, herbs and other chopped vegetables make a great addition as well! This particular time, I used a Mediterranean herb feta cheese, and it was delicious.

You can really get creative with your toppings, and use whatever sounds good or is convenient to you.
  4. Something to scoop dip with
Pita chips and cucumber spears are my favorite with this dip! Cucumbers are a great low-carb option, and hold up well. Carrot sticks and celery would also be great for scooping.

Assembly

This dip doesn’t seem like it should be so easy, but it really is!

First, spread the hummus evenly along the bottom. Repeat with the Tzatziki or yogurt over the top.

You’ll want your toppings to be chopped pretty fine, so that you get a little taste of every one in each bite! One they are diced and prepped, you just sprinkle them evenly over the top.

Serve with the pita chips or vegetables to dip on the side.
